We developed an energy concept with energy planning for the municipality of Rüti, in accordance with the Canton of Zürich’s geodata model. Towards this end, we first created an energy and climate balance, analyzed the potential for renewable energy and developed options for the creation of thermal networks. The main results include measures, target paths and spatially defined connection and suitability areas. Rüti uses the energy concept as a planning basis to promote the expansion of the thermal networks and to clarify the future role of the gas supply.
